Arts Group Plans April Events
The Rivers Edge Arts Society, located in the Gallery @112 in Sayre, is hosting several events in April. These include a photography workshop, a ladies paint night and an open mic night. The photography workshop is planned for Saturday, April 20, 10 AM-Noon. The class will be taught by Sayre photographer Carolyn Sanders and the cost is $10.00. Participants should already have a working knowledge of their own camera as this class will focus on composition and lighting, and include outdoor photography.
The Ladies Paint Night will take place Tuesday, April 23, 7-9 PM and be taught by Dana Day, local art teacher from Elk City. The class fee is $30 and all supplies are included. No experience is necessary and all are welcome.
Open Mic Night will be held the following Friday, April 26, 7-9 PM. Everyone is invited to attend, read or recite a poem or monologue, sing a song, play an instrument or just listen. Selections must be no longer than seven minutes and be family friendly. Young people are especially encouraged to participate in this free event.
All these events will take place at the Gallery @112, located at 112 West Main in downtown Sayre. To find out more or to register call the Gallery at 580-928-0002 or find us on Facebook at Gallery@112.
