The Fiber Fanatics of Northwest Oklahoma (FFONWOK) will be presenting a show and demonstration of the many facets of fiber arts at Gallery@112 in downtown Sayre on Saturday, July 13. The group was formed to support, encourage and educate each other in the fiber arts and to provide a network for promoting the use of natural and sustainable fibers. Members of the group will be coming from various towns in northwest Oklahoma to show and share their skills in weaving, felting, spinning, carding, crochet, knitting, to name a few. The group meets regularly to share ideas, discuss competitions, and plan demonstrations. Everyone is invited to come by the Gallery@112 between 10 AM and 3 PM to visit with FFONWOK members and view their beautiful creations. Ladies Paint Night Scheduled for July 16
The Rivers Edge Arts Society is hosting another Ladies Paint Night at Gallery @112 in Sayre on Tuesday night, July 16, 7-9 PM. Michelle Yarbrough of Sayre will be teaching the class, assisted by volunteers from the Arts Society. The class is open to all ladies, especially those who have never painted before. Step-by-step instruction will be given and each participant will go home with her own finished piece of artwork. Cost of the class is $30 and includes all supplies.
